Thanks Mitch, Markos for engaging in this dialogue. Markos had my vote because of his intuitive ability to see the big picture yet have the understanding of the process and to also recognize what aspects of the process could be improved. I think the most important point made here by Markos that needs to be underscored is the "willingness to educate and be educated..." what this also implies and what seems to be most difficult is for everyone both "expert" and citizens dropping assumptions and the preconceived ideas they may have.

Also his comment on "quality not quantity" is equally well taken. This is just an observation but I am amazed at the expenditures the city repeatedly makes to bring in the "experts" and have study upon study done to the point of redundancy. Instead of doing it thoroughly the first time, or in the least comparing and contrasting results of several and then actually spending the funds on the follow through, rather than on investing in a slightly different study.

Maria Paz is amazing and that she came up with that!!!! She lived with me for 2 years and I got to know her really well i thank space gallery for letting her do this because when she goes back to Argentina I think she will remember that experience. I love her art work. I also know that she worked very hard on the LEDs in that dress and she cut all those little leaves and glued them together. I know that Paz will be in my memory's forever and she inspires me!!

Sounds so inspiring and motivating!! A big discussion in the art world over in Eugene, OR is the ways in which we can connect the various communities within this small town and what are some ways the organizations can collaborate together in order to benefit from one another and reach out to a wider population. It sounds like Phonebook 3 is doing this nationwide! Wonderful!
Miss you guys. I can't wait for my next visit!
