The Middle East

Australia’s The Middle East have recently reissued their ‘The Recordings Of The Middle East’ record which was self released in 2008 by the band. The re-release is being put out by Spunk Records. The Middle East will be at Space along with Laura Marling on May 11th. Tickets available here.

Tomorrow Chicago Band Maps & Atlases bring their math rock/indie/German pop? to SPACE Gallery. They just finished playing a few shows with Minus The Bear who also came through Portland recently. Local openers Brenda and Dead Man’s clothes make their first visit to SPACE. Doors at 8pm.

John Nolan who will be playing an All Ages show here at SPACE Gallery on Friday Jan. 8th with Portland’s Pinsky, Ocean is Theory & Gabriel the Marine. Has recently taken a break from his full time band Straylight Run and released his new album Height. Along with this John has 2 ep’s available for FREE online here.

December started off with a great All Ages show at SPACE. Nightmare Of You (pictured above, and playing what they claim to be their last shows before some sort of hiatus) and Destry (pictured below) brought their tour to Portland with support from Boston’s Fly Upright Kite and locals Colors.
